Terms and Conditions for Newport Yoga Centre Events and Classes

  1. Payment Terms

    • The balance of all monies due must be paid by the customer no less than four (4) weeks prior to the event’s commencement date. For bookings made within four (4) weeks of the event, full payment is required at the time of booking. Payment can be made via bank transfer.

    • For regular classes, payment must be made in advance for class passes, memberships, or single-session bookings. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

    • If the deposit or balance is not received by the due date, Newport Yoga Centre reserves the right to cancel the reservation and retain the deposit.
       

  2. Cancellations and Changes

    • In the event of teacher cancellations or unforeseen circumstances, Newport Yoga Centre reserves the right to modify bookings. Customers will be informed promptly, and alternative arrangements will be offered where possible. Newport Yoga Centre is not responsible for any additional costs incurred, including airfare or accommodation changes for events.

    • Refund Policy for Events:

      • Cancellation during the event: 0% refund, unless otherwise agreed upon with the principal.

      • Cancellation within 2 weeks of the event: 0% refund.

      • Cancellation 2-4 weeks prior to the event: 25% refund.

      • Cancellation 4-6 weeks prior to the event: 50% refund.

      • Cancellation 6-8 weeks prior to the event: 100% refund.

      • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

    • Refund Policy for Regular Classes:

      • Class passes and memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

      • Cancellations for single-session bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance to receive a credit for a future class.

  3. Liability

    • Newport Yoga Centre accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury, or illness incurred during participation in or travel to and from Newport Yoga Centre events or regular classes, except as required under Australian Consumer Law.

    • Customers are advised to obtain appropriate insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, including cancellations, delays, or medical expenses.
       

  4. Health and Safety
     

    • Customers must comply with all health and safety regulations. Participants must ensure they are physically and medically fit to attend yoga sessions and other activities. Those with injuries or illnesses are encouraged to seek medical advice before participating.

    • Newport Yoga Centre is not liable for injuries sustained during activities unless caused by proven negligence. Participants are encouraged to notify instructors of any injuries or conditions that may affect their participation.
       

  5. Attendance Policy
     

    • For regular classes, customers are advised to arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Late arrivals may not be admitted to avoid disruptions.

    • Classes must be booked in advance, and spaces are subject to availability.

  6. Travel Documentation
     

    • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all necessary travel documents are valid and complete. Newport Yoga Centre will not be liable for delays or cancellations due to incomplete documentation for events.

  7. Property Use
     

    • Customers must use Newport Yoga Centre’s property for permitted purposes only. Activities deemed offensive, illegal, noisy, dangerous, or otherwise inappropriate are prohibited.

    • Customers must respect the rights of other guests, staff, and property owners. Any behavior causing nuisance or annoyance may result in immediate termination of the booking without refund.

  8. Personal Possessions
     

    • Newport Yoga Centre does not accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal possessions or valuables. Customers are encouraged to safeguard their belongings.

  9. Complaints
     

    • Any complaints must be reported directly to the Newport Yoga Centre manager as soon as possible. Customers agree not to discuss complaints with third parties until Newport Yoga Centre has been given the opportunity to resolve the issue.
       

  10. Force Majeure

  • Newport Yoga Centre is not liable for events beyond its control, including natural disasters, acts of war, government restrictions, or supplier failures. In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to minimize disruption.

  1. Copyright and Intellectual Property
     

    • All materials, photographs, and information displayed by Newport Yoga Centre remain its exclusive property. Unauthorised use, modification, or reproduction is strictly prohibited.
       

  2. Alterations

    • Newport Yoga Centre reserves the right to modify facilities, accommodation, yoga activities, or class schedules when necessary. Customers will be notified of significant changes as soon as possible.
       

  3. Australian Consumer Law Compliance

    • These terms and conditions are subject to Australian Consumer Law. Customers retain their statutory rights, including guarantees related to services provided by Newport Yoga Centre.

By making a booking for events or regular classes with Newport Yoga Centre, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
